Appeals and Handling

While Prison Eye wants to keep the riff-raff on the outside of wonderful groups/sims, Prison Eye does believe in second chances and redemption.

As such people who have been listed on the database can appeal their listings with the group/sim that listed them in the first place. But that is it: say for instance that avatar Jan Resident got listed on Prison Eye by RR Prison, then Fortress Mortice will not be able to request the removal of the listing. Only RR Prison will be allowed to do that in this case.

Prison Eye expects its Partners to listen to appeals, this can be done in house on their own terms and conditions. However Prison Eye will respect the Partner if they choose to deny the appeal of a listed individual.

If a Partner grants the appeal, then the partner may choose how this person appealing their listing shows their good faith to be removed from the database.
Example: RR Prison, would grant someone to redo their sentence but on top of that will go the complete original sentence, so if someone was sighed up for 24 hours, they have to do 48 hours. and upon successful completion of that sentence they will be removed from the database.

It is up to the partner of how they will ultimately do this, however the primary rule that Prison Eye will put on this is that no exchange of currency is allowed to handle this.

However an Individual can Choose to make an appeal via Prison Eye, though Prison Eye would prefer if the individual first tried it by contacting the Partner’s head of staff. Should someone submit an appeal directly to Prison Eye, then an official hearing will be called. This hearing will convene with one of the representatives of the sim/group that made the database entry, the person in question and a representative of Prison Eye at a neutral location and time designated by the Prison Eye Representative.

Due to the possibility of an entry being centered around a personal reason rather then professional, should one side of the appeal now show at the appointed time, then they will lose by default. in the case of the listed individual, this will mean that their listing remains intact, in the case of the partner not being present, the listing will be remove.

In the unlikely event that the partner cannot make it to the hearing, the partner will be expected to send a message to the designated representative in charge of the case. tardiness in this matter will not be accepted.

In closing only Prison Eye can remove information from the database, as such be sure to post a notice about someone havening successfully completed an appeal as listed on the “Partner Responsibilities” page.
